The story behind our Baby Loss Awareness songs...

In support of baby loss awareness month 2015 Itty Bitty Beats wrote a song called 'The Last Lullaby' about grieving the loss of a baby.

This song is very close to their hearts, as Jenny and Lucy know many people who have lost babies through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal difficulty and sudden infant death.

In 2009 Jenny's son Leo died at 3 days old in the arms of his parents, after battling lung and kidney problems caused by Posterior Urethral Valves.

Jenny and Lucy have written this song to help the grieving process for anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby: parents, grandparents, family, friends, anyone who has lost a child.

Following the wonderful response from ‘The Last Lullaby’ & 'Soaring Through Skies' Itty Bitty Beats has written a new song called ‘They Say’.

All three songs are free to download and their instrumental tracks are also available, as we’ve had requests from people wanting to sing the songs themselves.

The loss of a child is devastating and the grieving process never ends. The baby or child may no longer be here but they are never forgotten. These songs have been written to grieve to, to cry to, to remember to.

With all our love
Jenny & Lucy

lyrics

They Say - Lyrics

They say that time will heal
But the only time it will
Is when you're in my arms again

They say that scars will heal
But don't they see
They're all I have left of you?

No need to look on the bright side
I'm in the shadow of losing you
And even in the sunshine, all I see is rain
But it's just the tears rolling down my face

They say you’re not alone
But the loneliness I feel
Is the only friend that’s real

I cried so many tears
And I’ll cry throughout the years
In my heart you will always stay

No need to look on the bright side
I'm in the shadow of losing you
Even in the sunshine all I see is rain
But it's just the tears rolling down my face

No need to look on the bright side
I'm in the shadow of losing you
And even in the sunshine all I see is rain
But it's just the tears rolling down my face

They say, they say, they say
But their words can't take away
My pain, my pain, my pain
Though I know what they're trying to say

I know the world still turns
And I will survive this hurt
But this is all that I can be right now
